You Want to Learn About Using Blogging Software
In theory, at least, a lot of blogging software is specifically designed to be simple to use.
For many, however, even the least intimidating blogging program can feel very overwhelming to somebody who has not spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of different kinds of software. For newer, inexperienced bloggers in particular, learning how to use the interface of blogging software is the most difficult part of blogging. If, however, you are somebody who already feels comfortable expressing themselves in another medium, it may prove to be well worth your time and effort to learn blogging software, but that doesn't mean that the task will be easy.
Even the term "blogging software" can be confusing if not intimidating. Many blogging sites have what are essentially WYSIWYG (What You See is What YOu Get) formats where the blogger many types in their content, uses a few tools to accent words, create links, or other affects. That is their blogging software, and even it can be a bit daunting for a "blogging newbie" to figure out.
On the other hand, there is actually software available that allows anyone to create a blog. For someone just starting out in the blogging community, I would NOT recommend trying actual blogging software until you are comfortable with living in the blogosphere and have figured out what you are going to say and how you are going to say it.
Whatever route you choose, the main thing that will help you find success as you learn how to use any new kind of blogging software is to try and take things slowly at first.
Many people get so excited about learning to blog that they try to rush into the thick of it and start exploring the more complicated features of a program right away. Even on an easy site to use such as blogspot.com, this can lead to confusion and frustration, and all too many potential bloggers burn out during this stage of the process.
If you are willing to take your time learning the basics of your blog software program before you move on to more advanced techniques, you will be more likely to retain what you have learned, and to keep feeling positive about your ability to understand the world of blogging.
